Capacity Building Services for Disability Service Providers
Service Description
The NDIS is expected to grow to $6.8 billion in NSW over the next 3 years, opening opportunities for small businesses to innovate and grow. In order to leverage this opportunity, services include: - Improving the maturity and commercial viability of SMEs in the disability sector, including NFPS. - Preparing NDIS Providers for the Certification or Verification Audits (i.e., NDIS Practice Standards, development of Policies & Procedures). - Increasing the use of innovative business models, practices and technologies by organisations in the disability sector which contribute to a strong and sustainable market. -Increasing the participation of Aboriginal people and businesses in the economic opportunities arising from the NDIS and increase the availability of culturally appropriate services. -Developing responsive workforces and organisations that offer culturally competent and linguistically appropriate services for CALD NDIS Participants. -Developing flexible workforces and organisation models in rural and remote areas that contribute towards diverse markets offering quality and well-priced support. -Developing workforces and organisations to ensure availability of appropriate services to NDIS Participants. ***The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) The primary aim of the NDIS is to provide Australians under 65 years of age, with a permanent and significant disability, the individualised support and the flexibility to manage their supports and enjoy an ordinary life.
